Wow - well worth the extra cost! My original lenses were the Multilaser Ice which were fantastic for those Bluebird clear days.
BUT - where I ski, many days have a cap cloud at the top of the area meaning very flat lighting conditions on the upper mountain.
Lower down, the light improves to much brighter. What to do? Get these Photochromic lenses! They have a very wide range of light transmission and do it automatically. There’s simply not enough light transmission during those cloudy/snowy days for fixed-tint lenses and you lose definition of snow conditions - especially where moguls are concerned. These photochromic lenses do the trick for sure - very satisfied. Now, if Rudy would only make the next generation of goggle lenses magnetic so switching them out would be very quick….
I have never had glasses this comfortable before, nothing is perfect, but if there's something better I haven't experienced it yet because these feel great to wear and just fit so right over the ears and nose. They look sleek and aero, I went with the ImpactX Photochromic 2 Laser Purple Lens for a nice balance of day and evening riding.
I am a big fan of the Strym helmets but they are no longer available. The Venger appeared to be a reasonable replacement so I ordered one. My main complaint about this helmet is its square shape. While the Strym is more oval inside, the Venger is squared off along the forehead and back. Not a great deal but it is noticeable and over a few hours begins to become annoying to me.
I would not recommend this helmet or purchase it again. I'll continue to nurse my 3 Strym helmets along.
much more comfortable than my Giro Aerohead v1 (which is narrower and pinch my head a bit)
