UPDATE Review (9%-74% LT)

Okay, I have to update my review from over a week ago. I like the sunglasses themselves and the fit and finish. They seem as well made as any in the price class and what you would expect from a company like Rudy. I was however basing my final rating on the perceived LT on a sunny day. I wore these driving on a sunny day and had minimal time actually outdoors from my car with them on and felt the 9% LT was weak. Well, after actually finally riding on a sunny day in full light, these do in fact get dark and are very capable of keeping light out. They also lighten as needed by the conditions at hand. So let's be fair here and redo my rating and one other thing........I complained also to Rudy why any company would sell a near $200 pair of sunglasses and give only a cheap micro-fiber bag to keep them in!!! They actually contacted me and are sending me a hard case for free! Heck, that is customer service to a T! Congrats to Rudy and as I have said owning the Nytron helmet........great products that work for cyclists!

Almost great......but

Okay, for any pair of sunglasses no matter the manufacturer, a semi-rigid hardcase is or should be expected. Oh, I knew before buying these didn't have one but bought for assumed quality given the Nytron helmet I wear is great. Now to my other iffy feeling. The 9% light transmission in bright sunny weather. Well, I am not sure but these seem like at best 20%. I was certainly expecting darker tinting. As to comfort and build.....they appear on par with the cost factor. Would have been nice to have spring tension temple arms but not a deal breaker. So for the money and areas I see deficient, these are a 4.25 rating but had to select 4.
