ImpactX® Photochromic Lenses

ImpactX® lenses are photochromic. This means they get dark from low to high light transmission within few seconds and reaching a custom color from an initial clear state. They enhance contrast, improve visual acuity and depth perception. ImpactX® lenses are 16% lighter than CR-39 and 10% lighter than polycarbonate; they have lower internal stress and chromatic dispersion than polycarbonate, resulting in sharper images, higher definition, reduces “rainbowing”, and more visual comfort.

RILSAN® FRAMES

Rilsan Clear® is a high performance sustainable and bio-based polymer of 100% renewable origin, developed by Arkema. Rilsan Clear®’s key properties are lightness, chemical and fatigue resistance, flexibility and easy processability which make this material extremely durable, shock and weather resistant and perfectly suitable for sports use.

Tight!

The Deltabeat was recommended to me by Rudy Project based on other models that fit me well. These frames are too tight and apply pressure to the side of my head. After an hour I had to get them off. These frames do not have adjustable arms like many of the other Rudy Project frames I've tried. They also fit very close to the face so I expect sweat will be a problem.
I gave them to my wife and she likes them just fine. She noted the extra wind protection was nice. She has a fairly narrow face.

Stiff

Compared to other glasses they are stiff or snug fit

The Perfect Sunglasses Do Exist

Deltabeat is the latest purchase in a long line of Rudy Project sunglasses, and they are, by far, the best I have used. The resin frames hug the face just enough to keep the sunglasses in place and not bounce around when running or riding off-road, and the laser purple lenses on the white gloss model are the absolute best for any light conditions, adjusting quickly and keeping focus clear; venting on the lenses prevents fogging better than any other model I've used.

While not the lightest Rudy Project sunglasses I've used (mine weigh in at 32g), they are comfortable after hours in the saddle or hours running the roads or trails. They simply are the best.
